How-to guide

Recordings for voicemail or hold music are listed here. This includes recordings you have made, as well as shared recordings across other PhoneLine+ users.

You can play back these recordings, and change whether or not these are shared amongst other users.

You can edit or delete a recording by clicking on the name of the recording. This brings up a screen, allowing you to rename, overwrite, or delete a recording.

Create a new recording

To create a new recording, you can press the ‘Add recording’ button.

You can record a new audio track, or upload one you already have.

Note: the maximum length allowed for audio clips is 60 seconds with a maximum file size of 1.5MB. Audio files should be in .mp3 format.

 

Troubleshooting

Can’t upload recording

If you are not able to record or upload a new recording, please check the following:

  • The file that you are trying to upload is no more than 1.5MB in size
  • The music that you are trying to record is no more than 60 seconds in length

Others can’t use your recording

If other users within your company are not able to use a recording that you have recorded or uploaded, please check the following:

  • The Shared Recording toggle is turned on from the Edit Recording screen
